Despite strong feedback from the online poker community, American network has elected not to renew television programme.
The future of online poker reality television series 2 Months $2 Million is up in the air after American cable broadcaster G4 reportedly elected not to renew the programme.
The programme premiered on August 16 and saw Jason ‘pr1nnyraid’ Rosenkrantz, Brian ‘Flawless_Victory’ Roberts, Emil ‘whitelime’ Patel and Dani ‘ansky’ Stern attempt to win two million dollars using their own bankrolls.
The pros lived in the same house in Las Vegas for the ten half-hour episodes and visited the Tilt Room when things didn’t go well. This special space featured fresh fruit and vegetables that the pros smashed with baseball bats and hockey sticks in order to blow off steam.
According to Rosenkrantz, the programme didn’t do as well as G4 had hoped despite receiving strong feedback from the poker community. In addition, the players finished well below their target goal of two million dollars and only earned $676,000 over the two-month span.
“We’re exploring our options,” Rosenkrantz is quoted by numerous sources.
“I learned a lot doing 2 Months $2 Million, not the least of which was what people really liked about it and what didn’t work. Hopefully, we’ll get a chance to let that experience work for us.”
